Last week I set out on a mission to buy all my summer shoes on a $150 budget. And let me tell you- it was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done! I had an idea in mind of every type of shoe that I wanted. I always find that shopping with a specific idea or style in mind is the hardest type of shopping. You’re constantly comparing everything and so hard to settle for anything less than what you want! Naturally, all the shoes I was falling in love with were $100+ and did not fit the budget at all!
After DAYS of searching, adding things to various carts and hunting for the best prices I narrowed my shopping down to the four pairs pictured above. I must say- I am very pleased with what I managed to find! After it was all said and done I spent $148 and I could not be more proud of myself!
I found the top two pairs on Amazon (here and here). Did you guys know you could buy shoes on Amazon?! Finding this out basically made my year! I managed to get two pairs of sandals and was able to use Amazon Prime to get free prime shipping. They were so easy to find- simply search the brand you’re looking for and you’ll find tons of great options. Amazon, you saved my life!
I stumbled on these pretty lace up sandals when I was creating a wish list at Nordstrom. The reviews were great, they are a neutral color, under $50 and the heel was manageable for all-day wear. I couldn’t say no! The last pair I found here when I was searching for some new summer dresses. Everything on the website was so cute and affordable I just had to see what the shoe selection was like (loving these and these too)! I found them a few days after I ordered the other three when I was honesty starting to give up hope.
And then I cheated. Because I found THE GREATEST dupe of the season! I’ve been obsessed with these bow slides for months now. But they didn’t fit the budget. I decided it would be better to buy multiple pairs of shoes over just one pair- so I skipped them.
Then during a late night shopping session I found these babies! It was like fate brought us together and I couldn’t pass up the chance to get my hands on these bow beauties!
So overall I ended up a little over budget. But maybe we just wont include the last pair and call it a win? Either way- my wallet is happy. What are your favorite spring/summer shoes right now? Be sure to add your favorites in the comments!
