I picked up this adorable pineapple skirt late last month and I’m so in love! In my closet full of navy, stripes, navy stripes and basics it really stands out- but that’s the great part about summer styling! You can get so creative with colors and pattern play. So here’s a little info on this beauty- it has POCKETS (amazing), is super comfortable and lined. It’s a little on the short side- I would say if you’re above 5’5″ it might not work for you depending on your preferences (I’m 5’1″ and it hits me well above the knee- I like it to sit on my natural waistline). I bought this in a size small and I’m loving the fit!
I have a pretty classic wardrobe and tend to like to keep it simple with my outfits. The easiest way to wear a loud print like this is with a basic, neutral top. I love this white shell paired with the fun bottom. The elevated material of the top keeps the skirt from looking very informal and helps to dress the outfit up for a nice brunch or baby shower. And you can’t forget the monogram!
I also paired this fun pineapple print with this pale pink shell. It’s a little more casual in styling- but is still that silky/slouchy elevated material that keeps the outfit looking polished. This top also has the cutest little graphic print (and tassel!), but works with the loud graphic on the bottom because it has a limited amount of colors and the print is much smaller in scale. I’m loving pairing pinks and pairing pink and red lately, so having these two pink tones together really speaks to me!
When I was purchasing this skirt I also picked up this amazing linen short sleeve top! Honestly, I thought it was lemons when I purchased it. I was shopping from my phone (which I hate doing!) and was up early waiting for the cable company to come mix my internet and TV. So basically I was half asleep, annoyed and looking at a small screen. I was so surprised to open up my package and see this was the same amazing pineapple print that was on my new skirt, just in a smaller scale and different color combo! I just couldn’t help pairing them together and I’m loving the outcome!
